How to Book Previous Clients AFTER Raising Your Prices

KickStart: Don’t call attention to your new (higher) prices for clients wanting to rebook. (Most can’t remember what they paid last time!)

home service business owner scared to raise prices

It’s no fun living in fear! And yet far too many Home Service Professionals are SCARED TO DEATH to raise their prices!😢

Why You Need to Update Your Pricing Regularly

But let’s face it—running a business is no small feat, and keeping your prices the same forever isn’t going to help you stay afloat. You’ve got costs that won’t stop climbing: materials, labor, overhead… the list goes on. So why should your prices be any different?

Here’s a little secret: raising your prices doesn’t have to be a nail-biting experience. In fact, it can be downright empowering. 💪 Think about it—when was the last time you got a raise? Yeah, exactly! It’s time to break free from the fear and start charging what you’re worth.

Why Raise Your Prices?

  • You’re Worth It: You’ve spent years honing your craft. Your experience, skill, and dedication deserve fair compensation.
  • Cover Rising Costs: Whether it’s the cost of materials or those monthly overheads, everything’s going up. Your prices should reflect that.
  • Improve Service Quality: More profits mean better equipment, top-notch materials, and even additional training that can elevate your service quality.

NOTE: It is essential to raise your prices in this age of competing for the Very Best People (VBP) since the VBP want (and deserve) to be paid more. So…

Question: Are you a Very Best Person?🤔 If so, YOU too deserve to be ‘paid more’! (You also should never settle for less than the Very Best Employees!) Therefore…

#2 “Hmmm, I see that last time we (detail out the services you performed). Would you like any additional work done on this visit?” (If so, get the details.)

#3 Then (hopefully without your voice trembling😲) calmly say: “So the total amount for (list out their specific requested services) will be (new higher price)… very slight pause here… and I have a service slot available next Tuesday at 10:00. Will this time work for you?” WOO-HOO!
