Just look at the dangers of ignoring staffing best practices. Here are just a few of the consequences when following a hurried, slapdash hiring approach…
1. Lost profits. It’s very time consuming and expensive on-boarding a new employee. (Especially for a small Home Services business without a dedicated HR department.) Hire a marginal individual and you’ll be repeating the onboarding/training process… way too soon! The result? Less well-deserved profits for you 💲💲💲 and YOUR FAMILY!
2. Drama. I enjoy a good drama… on Netflix! In a small service business? Not so much! ‘High-drama’ employees with constant issues (read here: “endless excuses”) quickly become exhausting for everyone. These ‘revolving door’ loser employees will be a huge drag on your business profits!

5. What do you owe your trusting clients? As a Home Service professional your clients are trusting you (and your workers) in the ‘inner sanctum’ of their home. Sending a marginal (or worse) employee into a customer’s home opens you up to serious financial, legal and ethical issues! (Don’t forget that damage control is virtually impossible in this age of social networks and online review sites!)
